Electronic Arts has today announced Trials of St. Lucia, the second downloadable expansion pack for Dante’s Inferno, following on from Dark Forest which was released at the beginning of March. Trials of St. Lucia boasts several firsts for the action-adventure genre – online two-player co-operative gameplay, plus a full-featured combat editor which players can use to create, upload, and share custom-created Trials with other players worldwide. You can also rank the Trials that you play, ensuring that the best Trials rise to the top.
The expansion pack features a new playable character, St. Lucia of Syracuse, a battle-ready angel who can fly and who wields all-new moves and combos. Players can choose to fight with St. Lucia alongside Dante in online co-operative mode as they attempt to defeat online Trials and earn a ranking on the Inferno leaderboards.
Trials of St. Lucia will be released on April 29th, 2010, via the Dante’s Inferno Downloadable Content menu, as well as the PlayStation Store, for $9.99.
